The Miami mansion where Gianni Versace lived and died is to reopen this month as luxury boutique hotel Villa by Barton G
Located on Miami’s famous Ocean Drive, Gianni Versace’s former home has been transformed into a boutique luxury hotel offering guests an opportunity to experience the lifestyle of the famed Italian fashion designer.
The new owner of the mansion, Barton G. Weiss, has retained Vesace’s signature style décor, which is evident throughout the over 23,000 square-foot property.
Featuring ten spacious suites, each with custom interiors, patios and balconies, three luxurious one-bedroom and suites with ocean views. The highlight of the boutique hotel is the 54-foot ‘thousand mosaic’ swimming pool lined in 24-carat gold, which was designed by Versace.
All suites come with windowed seating nooks and step out balconies. Surrounded within custom frescoes and mosaic floors, they also feature King and double King custom beds with custom Frette linens, goose down pillows and duvets. Guests are pampered with private label toiletries in custom Italian marble bathrooms that are fitted with double head showers.
True Versace fans can also stay in the late designer’s bedroom in The Villa Suite which sprawls over 1,174sq-ft and accommodates a nine-foot double king-size bed. The spacious 3,200 square foot one bedroom suite encompasses what was Gianni Versace’s living quarters. It opens out to four step out balconies overlooking Miami Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.
The hotel also offers services that promise to wash away the stress by pampering guests with the signature Villa Indulgence Massage, an 80-minute four handed ultimate massage.
The deluxe property also includes two private lounges exclusively for hotel guests and the Il Sole which features refined Mediterranean cuisine fused with Barton G. style. Guests can also leisurely laze at the Rooftop Lounge for sun worshipping or star gazing.
The Villa By Barton G. is the perfect setting for weddings and private events as they offer full-service event planning options, custom menus and every amenity to throw the most memorable celebration.
The new luxury Villa by Barton G. is expected to be open for business by the end of March. Suites start at $795 per night with the Villa Suite going from $2,200 per night.
