New models featuring new a movement – three in titanium finish
The Florentine luxury watch brand, Panerai, is the perfect mix between Italian design and Swiss technology, and is one of the most easily recognized watches around the world.
In 2016, Panerai released their Luminor Due collection, aimed at keeping true to their traditional look and design, yet offering a downsized, slimmer profile.
Building upon the market success of Luminor Due, Panerai is now releasing a few new models – three watches with a 38 mm case, two in 42 mm and one in 45 mm.
Three of these models will feature a brushed titanium case (the PAM 926, PAM 927, and PAM 964).
These three are outfitted with dark blue dials containing satiné soleil workmanship (sunburst design), the watches are essentially identical aside from their case diameters.
All have a date function, and the largest 45mm model has a second time zone and power reserve. More importantly, these are powered by a new movement – the P.900. This is the thinnest movement produced by Panerai, measuring just 4.2mm high – automatic with a three-day power reserve.
All three titanium models are also fitted with quick-release straps featuring a tab on the back that allows easy removal of the strap, eliminating the need to unscrew or release the lug bars.
They are also releasing the Panerai Luminor Due PAM01043 & PAM01046 models. The PAM01043 is the 38mm option and the PAM01046 sizes at 42mm. These watches are polished stainless steel. The white dials feature beige Super-LumiNova, with the indexes printed and surrounded by black. The hands are case-colored and the straps are taupe calf leather.
Lastly is the new Panerai Luminor Due PAM01045 – a different piece in terms of material and pricing. The PAM1045 is a 38mm piece using the brand’s proprietary “Goldtech” case material. Goldtech is 18K gold with a blend of copper and platinum that creates a warmer look while resisting tarnishing.
The white dial is very similar to the other two white-dialed pieces above. This model will feature your chance to view the P.900 movement, as this watch will have a sapphire display back within a Goldtech screw down case back. It is a beautiful watch paired with a bold red strap. It is believed Panerai is perhaps marketing it towards females – a refreshing strategy from the brand.
Prices on these new releases range from $6,900 to $20,500 USD.
