Panerai paying homage to the deep blue sea
The Italian luxury watch brand with historic ties to the ocean, is now celebrating the the deep blue sea with their new collection of boutique-only watches – the Radiomir Mediterraneo Edition.
All of these these 3 days timepieces in the collection are Radiomir 1940 cases, and include a 42mm steel automatic (PAM00933), a 45mm GMT and a 45mm GMT with power reserve (PAM00945 and PAM00946 respectively), a red gold 45mm automatic (PAM00934), and a large 47mm hand-winder (PAM00932).
What makes them unique are the beautiful gradient blue dials produced using an exclusive manufacturing process. The eye-catching face is lighter in the centre and fading to an inky black evoking a deep dark ocean blue.
The Radiomir Mediterraneo Edition timepieces are fitted with a blue alligator strap, which goes perfectly with the colour of the dial, and its contrasting beige sewing recalls the colour of the luminous substance used on the hour markers. Every model is supplied in an elegant blue lacquered cherry wood box, inside which is a spare strap of blue rubber, or a blue fabric one for the 42 mm model.
