Valentino confirmed this week it will open a flagship store in Rome in Piazza Mignanelli, the headquarters of the iconic fashion house. The new flagship will occupy two different adjacent buildings, recently acquired by Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani. Mayhoola for Investments, an investment vehicle backed by a private investor group from Qatar, bought Valentino Fashion Group SpA in 2012.
Denying a media report speculating that the company planned to move its offices into the new buildings, Valentino affirmed that its headquarters will remain in Palazzo Mignanelli.
Valentino plans to open its largest international flagship store in New York, in the summer of 2014.
