US-spec Pagani Huayra supercar debuted at The Quail during this year’s Pebble Beach weekend
Pagani has completed modifications on its stunning Huayra Supercar and it is now ready for sale in the United States. Introduced last fall in Europe, the Huayra Italian coupe is powered by an AMG Mercedes 6-liter V12 that make an incredible 720 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. Those impressive numbers provide a run to 62 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 224 mph
Luca Venturi, a spokesperson for Pagani has said the modifications were to enable the car to meet all federal safety requirements and have not effected the performance and handling of the car at all. In fact, all future Huayras will be made to U.S. specifications.
The clearcoat carbon fiber demo model for the U.S. was on display at The Quail this August, and will be used for customer test drives before they place their orders. With a probable price tag of $1.2 million, Pagani expects 25% of the production to end up in America.
