A casual yet elegant atmosphere to indulge in sweet-delights
Luxury fashion brands have added food experiences to their flagship stores for quite some time, proving that food plays a very important role in fashion and lifestyle.
In March 2014, Italian luxury brand Prada became a majority shareholder of the historical pastry shop Pasticceria Marchesi. This month the first Pasticceria Marchesi flagship is opening its doors under Prada’s reign, on the luxury street Via Montenapoleone in the heart of Milan – making it the second location of the historic Milanese pastry brand.
Larger than the original, built in 1824, the new location has been designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi. The highlight of the store is a charming sitting area in the back. Visitors can feel comfortable, while indulging in sweet-delights.
Treats, aperitifs, and candy-color pastry boxes are placed elegantly amid wood-and-glass cases in a boutique where fashion and patisserie meet in style.
Since 1824 Pasticceria Marchesi’s products are still made the old-fashion way: by hand, using the simplest, freshest ingredients possible. Open all seven days of the week, the new Pasticceria Marchesi flagship serves everything form breakfast and lunch to apéritifs, from 7.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Pasticceria Marchesi is open now in via Monte Napoleone, 9, Milan, Italy.
