For those who have lived their lives in luxury, there’s no better way to head to the cemetery after they’ve passed than in a luxury hearse
Ellena Autotrasformazioni, an Italian company that makes some of the world’s fanciest hearses, created their latest cemetary-bound ride – based on the Maserati Ghibli and is named the Autofunebre Ellena G3.0.
This is one of three luxury hearses customized by Ellena srl Autotrasformazioni that provides fancy last rides for people. Both of its other models are from the Mercedes-Benz lineup, but the lines and flow of the Ghibli set it apart even from other wildly expensive sedans-turned-hearses.
During modifications serial Ghibli is significantly extended, the rear section is made from fiberglass, while the tailgate can be open either from a button inside a car or via remote control.
Under the hood of this massive Maserati is a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine with enough power to move this massive car that’s 260.6 inches long and 76.5 inches wide. The length of a factory Ghibli is 195.7-inches.
The rear axle has of course been re-positioned and moved back by about a meter, helping to ensure the car can easily carry a casket without splitting in half. According to Ellena Autotrasformazioni, the rear section of the Autofunebre Ellena G 3.0 is made from fiberglass with an extended bumper, while the tailgate can be open either from a button inside a car or via remote control.
The hearse features quad tailpipes and the same lights adorning all regular Ghiblis. It further boasts a removable stainless steel cross, automatic flatbed, and faux nautical leather throughout the coffin compartment.
