The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has always been one of the most successful and highly anticipated annual events at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida – and this year has been no different, with many events filling up and selling out. The menu is filled with cooking demos, wine seminars, tastings, pairings, celebrity chefs, television personalities and live musical entertainment – as you walk from country to country around World Showcase.
New this year, EPCOT introduced the Marketplace VIP Access Chef Tour. This tour offers 5 pre-selected dishes and 5 beverages to attendees as they tour the World Showcase Lagoon and hear behind-the-scenes stories from the chefs. This special event is held at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday and costs $90 (plus tax and park admission.)
In addition, Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar, which recently opened in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion, have added an Italian Region Food & Wine Luncheon which will pair a variety of wines with fresh, casual dishes. This event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday, and cost $75 (plus tax and park admission.)
Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is a new venue adjacent to Tutto Italia Ristorante in the Italy Pavilion. Tutto Gusto offers small plates of food and more than 200 Italian wines, beers, grappas and coffee drinks. Menu items include meats, cheeses, mini paninis, cavatappi pasta and eight small plates including items such as from seafood salad, polenta with mushrooms and fontina cheese, and steamed mussels in white wine.
Italy continues its popular series of International Food & Wine Festival events at Via Napoli. These includes the Beer and Pizza Pairings, Dessert and Wine Pairings and more.
This year Italy will also feature a White Truffle Lunch. This popular, one-time event will be held on November 4 in Tutto Italia Ristorante.
There is still plenty of time to enjoy the flavors of Italy and taste your way around the rest of the world through November 12th.
