A new begining for esteemed luxury shoe brand Berluti
Berluti has tapped Alessandro Sartori, former creative director of Z Zegna at Ermenegildo Zegna, as the house’s new Artistic Director effective July 1. Mr. Sartori will design Berluti’s first ready-to wear collections line. This marks the Italian luxury shoemaker’s foray into the prêt-à-porter segment for men.
Sartori will head the new brand identity, no longer only producer of some of the finest footwear in the world, but a fashion house in every respect, that will be dressing men from head to toe.
Commenting on his appointment, Sartori said in a press statement: “Since 1895, Berluti has always been the most prestigious shoemaker in the world. Its renown, its history, and the quality of its creations are unrivalled in the Men’s universe. I am extremely proud to have been chosen to develop this emblematic House. “
Stylish men around the world will be waiting to see what Sartori comes up with for the new Berluti line.
