Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari Timepiece
Once again the Italian brand Ferrari has collaborated with Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille – this time on a watch that sets a new record.
At just 1.75 mm thick, the RM UP-01 Ferrari is the world’s thinnest mechanical watch. The timepiece is the result of over 6,000 hours of development and is made mostly of titanium.
The watch has a power reserve of 45 hours and while it may look quite delicate in photos, it is actually made to be worn and can withstand accelerations of over 5,000 Gs. It also offers 10 m of water resistance.
Just 150 examples of the RM UP-01 Ferrari will be manufactured and as you may expect, it’s very expensive – as each carries a price tag of $1.888 million.
