There’s probably no better way to celebrate National Italian American Heritage Month than to sit back and enjoy some great Italian food and wine. Pairing the right wine with the right food can truly enhance your dining experience. With so many different varieties of wine and an endless list of Italian dishes, this can be quite a daunting task. Luckily, there are a good number of tried and true pairings. So, whether you’re hosting your own dinner party or going out for the evening, here are a just a few examples and suggestions of great Italian dishes and accompanying Italian wines to enjoy.
There are also a great number of Italian dessert wines, including Moscato, Marsala, and Vin Santo, which are a great end to any meal. While enjoying your food and wine, make sure to toast National Italian American Heritage Month. Buon Appetito!
