While Cosabella was founded in 1983, the brand gained higher recognition in the mid-eighties. Today, the brand comprises a diverse product mix of intimates, shapewear, loungewear and swimwear, sold in more than 100 countries worldwide, online and in high end department stores such as Saks and Neiman Marcus. The brands largest market is the U.S., followed by Italy. Russia and China are also very important markets.
In an effort to please any and all women, they have recently increased their client base. Most women don’t like the term “plus-size,” and have a hard time finding high quality luxury lingerie — let alone Made in Italy. Well, Cosabella is offering their own solution with its new collection. This year they launched Cosabella Extended – a sexy new line for plus-size women.
Still family owned and operated, Cosabella founders Ugo and Valeria Campello have handed over day to day operations to their children, Guido and Silvia, both of whom who have grown up in the business. Guido is the CEO of Cosabella while his sister is the head of operations.
And the company is very active in philanthropy. For example, each year Cosabella supports the fight against breast cancer by designing a special breast cancer awareness collection and donates a percent of sales Bra-ha-ha ® is an organization that promotes and raises awareness about breast health, by supporting local breast cancer centers in spreading breast cancer prevention through mammography and early detection awareness.
Cosabella believes a woman’s lingerie should reflect her every mood. Each season vibrant, cutting-edge colors are produced; reflecting the high energy, eclectic world.
