Performed with acclaimed versatile vocalist Tim Wilgers

LAS VEGAS – May 8, 2026 — Internationally acclaimed Italian singer-songwriter Giada Valenti releases today her powerful new single, “Forbidden Love,” a cinematic romantic duet with rising American vocalist Tim Wilgers.
Blending English and Spanish lyrics, “Forbidden Love” is a sweeping musical story about two souls irresistibly drawn to one another despite the obstacles standing in their way. Rich with emotion and timeless passion, the song evokes the spirit of classic love stories such as Romeo & Juliet, West Side Story, and The Bridges of Madison County.
The single was written by Grammy-winning songwriters and producers Mike Reid and Brent Maher, with additional Spanish lyrics by Giada Valenti herself. The release is part of an upcoming duet project featuring Valenti and Wilgers.
Musically, “Forbidden Love” unfolds like a scene from a movie — two strangers meeting beneath a lonely streetlight, where an undeniable connection instantly changes everything. The song captures the beauty, longing, and vulnerability of a love that may be impossible… yet impossible to resist.
“There is something timeless, almost irresistible, about a love that is not meant to be,” says Valenti. “Perhaps it’s because love doesn’t follow rules… it doesn’t ask for permission… it simply exists.”
She continues:
“From Romeo and Juliet to West Side Story, these stories stay with us because deep down, we understand them. Maybe we’ve lived a moment like that… maybe we’ve felt something we couldn’t explain… maybe we’ve had to let go even when our heart wanted to hold on.
For a long time, I wanted to tell a story like this through music — a song that feels like a little movie. A story of two souls drawn together, even when they shouldn’t be.”
